If a JobA job is the overall project that you or your organisation works on for a client. has its statusJob statuses usually match the stages in your company's job workflow, such as Planned, In Progress or Completed. By adding notifications to each job status, you can communicate to key people how a job is progressing - and when it's time for them to take action. set to Completed or Cancelled, the job will no longer be visible in the list of active jobs in the Job Manager Active Jobs tab. The job will be visible only in the All Jobs tab. This is a convenient way of "archiving" jobs to reduce the number of jobs listed in the Active Jobs tab.
The All Jobs tab
All current and previous jobs (apart from deleted jobs) can be found in the Job Manager All Jobs tab.
Archiving a job
To ensure that a job appears only in the All Jobs tab:
- In the Jobs menu, select Jobs.
- On the Job Manager screen, select the Active Jobs or My Jobs tab, as required.
- Do one of the following:
- Click the job's Status button to display the status drop-down list. Set the Job Status to Completed or Cancelled. If you cannot click the Status button, you may not have the correct access privileges. See security access to Status drop-down list.

- Drill down on the job number of the job you wish to archive.
- In the job Details tab, Status drop-down list, select Completed or Cancelled.
- Save your changes.
The job will now appear only on the All Jobs tab of the Job Manager screen.
Restoring a job
To restore a job with a Job Status of Completed or Cancelled so that it appears in the Active Jobs tab:
- In the Jobs menu, select Jobs.
- On the Job Manager screen, select the All Jobs tab.
- Drill down on the job number of the job you wish to restore.
- In the job Details tab, Status drop-down list, select an active job status such as Planned or On Hold.
- Save your changes.
The job will appear on the Active Jobs tab of the Job Manager screen.
Copying an archived job
To create a new job from an Completed or Cancelled job in the archive:
- In the Jobs menu, select Jobs.
- On the Job Manager screen, select the All Jobs tab.
- On the All Jobs tab, drill down on the job number of the job you wish to work with.
- On the job details screen, select Job Actions > Duplicate Job. If applicable, confirm that you wish to copy job costs. The New Job screen is displayed.
- Complete the job information then Save. For further details, see Copy a job.
